Which UK universities offer a January 2026 intake
The January (spring) intake available in the UK has become increasingly popular. Recent international enrolment figures show that the UK welcomed over 600,000 international students in 2023/24, with Bangladesh ranking among the top five non-EU sending countries. For Bangladeshi applicants, the January window offers vital flexibility, especially for those who miss the September deadline, require extra time for IELTS preparation, or prefer to start in a smaller cohort. Universities now structure January courses across key areas like Business, Accounting & Finance, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Public Health, and Engineering, ensuring pathways for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
From a practical perspective, the UK Student Visa requirements (effective from January 2025) now require proof of £1,483 per month for London or £1,136 per month for outside London, in addition to tuition fees, held in a bank account for 28 consecutive days. For Bangladeshi students, this financial planning is critical. Another must is the TB test, which is compulsory for all Bangladeshi applicants at UKVI-approved clinics. Understanding these requirements early helps avoid last-minute delays.
